Overview

The European Operational Real Estate business, a division of Fairtree Alternative Real Estate, was founded in 2017 and is a specialist alternative real-estate investment adviser and manager, focused on the operational real estate industry.

The business is part of the Fairtree Group of Companies, a leading multi-strategy asset and long-only investment manager, which was founded in 2003. Fairtree has over EUR6 billion assets under management and has operations in Southern Africa, Europe and the UK.

The team works closely with other Fairtree Group Companies in Europe, in particular the Fairtree Hotels Investments team and their operational partner Providence Hospitality where assets require a broader approach.

We also work closely with other Fairtree companies in Europe , in particular the Fairtree Hotels Investments team and their operational partner Providence Hospitality where a specific asset requires a broader approach.

We are based in Leiden in the Netherlands, an efficient and effective business environment, which is ideally suited to support the day-to-day operations on ground level, and provides a strong launch pad into Europe.

  • Transaction structuring and finance arrangement to ensure the best-suited financial solution for the underlying fund’s assets.

  • Capital allocation and asset management of a single or portfolio of assets.

  • Complete project management across the real estate asset’s planning and construction phase.

  • Operational management of the real estate asset’s ramp-up, launch and ongoing operations, including the selection and management of an operator.
