Digital Marketing Specialist

The role:
Enrich the lives of all Fairtree stakeholders by contributing to the organisation’s growth and success and deepening our relationships with various stakeholders. Fairtree is a leading financial services firm committed to delivering exceptional investment solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SEO, paid advertising, social media, WordPress, basic programming languages, CRM and list management, email marketing, and analytics, including Google Analytics.
The role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and the ability to drive digital marketing initiatives that align with Fairtree’s business objectives.
Main duties and responsibilities
SEO management
- Conduct keyword research and analysis to enhance organic search visibility
- Develop and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies
- Monitor and report on SEO performance, identifying areas for improvement
Paid advertising:
- Plan, execute, and optimise paid advertising campaigns across various platforms (Google Ads, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Manage paid budgets, analyse campaign performance, and generate actionable insights
Social media management:
- Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement
- Create and curate content for various social media platforms
- Monitor social media trends and analytics to inform strategy
Website management
- Maintain and update the company website using WordPress
- Ensure website content is up to date, engaging, and optimised for search engines
- Collaborate with developers to implement new features and functionalities
CRM and list management:
- Manage and segment customer databases to ensure targeted marketing efforts
- Develop and execute CRM strategies to enhance customer retention and acquisition
Email marketing:
- Design and execute email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, promotions, and automated workflows
- Analyse email performance metrics and implement improvements
Analytics and reporting:
- Utilise Google Analytics and other tools to monitor website traffic, user behaviour, and campaign performance
- Generate regular reports and provide insights to optimise digital marketing efforts
Ideal Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Certification in Google Ads, Google Analytics, or related platforms is advantageous.

Fixed Income Quantitative Analyst

About The Fixed Income Quantitative Analyst Role:
The successful candidate will join the Fairtree Fixed Income team, comprising two portfolio managers and three quantitative analysts, with three team members based in London. The role will focus on credit and interest rate derivatives, with a significant portion of time dedicated to programming. The role is suitable for a recent graduate or an individual looking to transition industries.

Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in mathematics and coding (e.g., MATLAB, C++, Python, OO design, Git, AWS)
- Possession of a postgraduate degree in engineering or science is preferred
- A qualification in finance is advantageous but not required

- Outstanding analytical ability

- Ability to work independently, seeking out both questions and answers
- Enjoyment of solving new, sometimes ill-defined problems
- An interest in and a desire to learn about risk, investing, financial derivatives, and modelling

To apply, you must be a South African Citizen and hold a valid South African ID Document. You should have excelled in your Grade 12 academic year achieving an average of 65% or higher. You must also have proof of acceptance from an Institute of Higher Learning and be in need of financial assistance.
Academically we need you to supply a certified copy of your June exam results if still in Matric, and a certified copy of your final Matric results. You should have excelled in English and two other subjects.
If you’re currently studying at a Tertiary Institute you can also apply and must give us up to date academic records.
Tell us about the areas you have excelled in during Grade 11 & 12 outside of academics, such as extra-curricular awards and recognition. To give you the best financial support, please detail all expenses involved in your chosen field of study, including proof of tuition fees and the financial assistance you’ll need.
